About us
Our newly established Smithton Clinic offers both production animal & export services to the local dairy community. Based in Smithton, the role services farming communities in the Circular Head & Deloraine area. We are in need of an additional 3 experienced vets to help support the rapid growth of our workload.
You will be working with other like minded vets each day meaning lots of support from your colleagues & the opportunity to collaborate
About this role
We are looking for veterinarians who ideally would like to come & work with us full time. We offer a 4 day week, and we all cover an equal share of the after-hours at both sites. However, if your availability differs from the above, we’d still love to speak with you.
We can also offer the opportunity of a mixed practice role if that suits you better. Get in touch & we can discuss the many opportunities our company has to offer.
About you
Essentially we are looking for veterinarians that would be a good fit for our dynamic team. The ideal candidates will be friendly with good communication skills & be able to work both independently as well as part of a team. Whether you are a recent Graduate or have extensive experience, we encourage to you apply.
Our location
Located 135km northwest of Devonport, Smithton is the gateway to the rugged lands of far northwest Tasmania situated on a picturesque coastline. It is a busy little place, being the regional centre of one of Tasmania’s most productive fishing, beef, dairying & potato growing areas. It is home to timber mills, the State’s largest dairy produce factory, Duck River Oysters.

You will be working with other vets each day meaning lots of support from your colleagues & the opportunity to collaborate. We are offering positions that can be tailored to suit the right candidates. We would prefer full-time candidates but welcome the opportunity to also discuss part-time positions.
- Above Award remuneration (influenced by position & experience)
- 4 day week with rotational on-call duty

- Generous personal CPD allowance, in addition to annual Vet Education, CVE and VIN subscriptions
- AVA membership, State registration & radiation licences paid for
