About us
We are a young, growing veterinary hospital, rapidly growing with the town of Winchelsea. Dr Candice Lafranchi, founded the hospital 2 years ago, seeing the potential and growth that has bought many young families and people to our charming town. With many household pets and surrounding farms, Winchelsea can offer so much variety and professional development.

About this role
We would welcome a candidate for either a full-time or part-time role and would prefer applicants with at least 2 years of experience who are comfortable in taking the lead and taking sole charge.
We require a veterinarian who is interested in small animals. We also welcome a candidate that would like to enter into mixed practice if they so wish. We occasionally receive large animal call-outs but if the candidate is a small animal only, they do not need to attend large animal calls as small animals are our priority.
The veterinarian would need to be able to perform basic desexing, lumpectomies, dentals and basic soft tissue surgery. The candidate would need to be able to perform a confident attitude in each consultation and be prepared to work up cases with team members if required.
About you
We are looking for a good communicator, a candidate that has a passion for providing the best outcome for their patients and someone who works very well in a team environment. We are looking for a veterinarian who is able to support our nurses and someone that is also helpful, respectful, punctual and thorough in record keeping and client communication.
Our location
Located in the Surfcoast Shire Hinterland, Winchelsea is only 30min from Torquay, 25min from Geelong and 35min from Lorne.
Our offer
Up to $160k dependant on experience per annum for a full-time candidate, comfortable with sole charge, who is highly competent in general practice and would take on a manager role.
- A part-time candidate’s hourly rate is dependent on experience and negotiable.
- Continuing education allowance – $500 per annum for every day worked per week.
- Option for call-out car to be part of salary package.
