About us
Bluffton Veterinary Services is a Rural mixed animal practise located in Bluffton, Alberta, Canada. We are looking to add a large or mixed animal veterinarian to replace a vet going on leave for 1 year starting in August 2021. There will be a possibility for longer-term work for the right candidate.
Our team currently consists of 5 vets, 4 techs, 2 reception, and 1 office manager.
Our work week is Monday to Friday 8:30-5:00 pm with shared on-call for farm animals.
We strive to maintain a good work-life balance. We are a very rural clinic but practise progressive medicine.
Some of the “toys” we have include an in house IDEXX lab, multiple ultrasounds, an endoscope, digital radiography, dental machine with x-ray and an M1 treatment laser.

About you
- Bovine experience is a must especially pregnancy checking with ultrasound, and calving
- Some moderate equine experience is also needed

Bluffton is located 1 hour from Edmonton, and 45 minutes from Red Deer, and 2 hours from the mountains and countless hours of outdoor activities.
